Commerce Architects helped Backcountry.com leverage Oracle ATG Web Commerce 10 to deliver an improved multi-site commerce platform. The Backcountry.com team was new to ATG and needed help understanding how to move their suite of sites to ATG 10. Commerce Architects partnered with Backcountry.com's development team to plan and implement a multi-site platform to power all of Backcountry.com's web properties. ATG Commerce and Publishing were integrated with their existing product data and fulfillment services to allow for a rapid implementation. Integration with FAST Search provided a faceted search and browsing experience. As a test of the ability to have a single set of JSP templates that can be styled differently for different storefronts, Backcountry.com first launched HuckNroll.com on this platform. We then launched the main Backcountry.com site on the same ATG 10 multi-site codebase. We are continuing to mentor the Backcountry.com development team as they become ATG experts and continue to roll out the remaining web properties on this platform.

In April, 2010, Bodybuilding.com selected Commerce Architects to implement a custom ATG Commerce site to replace their existing, home-grown commerce site, which had been in operation for over 10 years. The implementation included ATG Commerce Service Center, ATG Merchandising, and ATG Search with faceted catalog navigation. In April 2011, the new Bodybuilding.com website successfully launched with all of these applications. The new site replicated the original commerce site with improved business logic, performance, and scalability.

We have continued to partner with Bodybuilding.com to build on the foundation that was created for the initial launch. In the year after the full site launch, we partnered with the internal teams to deploy business critical features including a custom A/B test framework, a mobile version of the store, and a global version of the store that supports 150+ country stores.

We also conducted training for internal teams and have continued to mentor the existing internal development and operations teams.

As ATG employees, we created the initial proof-of-concept for DIRECTV in the pre-sales phase, and then went on to lead the implementation through to launch. Commerce Architects contractors now include the 4 top developers from DIRECTV, as well as the Oracle DBA. We have continued to assist DIRECTV with data center migrations, and site re-design assistance.

At Kodak Gallery we were recruited to help finish up development on a new ATG Commerce site, and help to get the site launched. This project required expertise in ATG Commerce, ATG Content Administration 9, ATG Fulfillment and ATG Commerce Assist.

Prior to launch, we built the business logic for selling customizable items with ATG Commerce. In addition, we built the workflows and data loading processes for deployment of data from an ATG 9 Content Administration server to ATG 2006.3 Commerce targets. The improvements in the ATG 9 Content Administration application are truly impressive and make this product a pleasure to work with. After launch, some issues were discovered with the implementation of the ATG fulfillment system. As a result, we re-wrote the core of the fulfillment process plus utilities to assist when any fulfillment issues arose. Finally, we implemented ATG Commerce Assist for Kodak Gallery to manage orders.

NutriSystem came to us for help when getting ready to launch their new ATG Commerce site. We assisted in getting them ready for launch, and continued to tune the site for production load. We built out an A/B test framework, which allowed them to intelligently evolve the site based on results. Over the next year and a half, we continued to assist with development projects ranging from a site redesign to an integration to sell gift cards in Costco stores.

Adobe is another site where Commerce Architects engineers worked on a project implementation from design through launch. This was a full ATG Commerce implementation.

Commerce Architects engineers played key roles in the development of the Intuit site. This is an extremely high-volume ATG Commerce implementation.
