A successful commerce site combines personalization, stability, maintainability and performance to produce the ideal end-user experience. In order to maximize the value of ATG Personalization, we design sites using data-driven templates where the data can be delivered as the output of targeters and/or slots. This design enables business users to use ATG Content Administration to make real-time changes to a live production site. The choice of when and how to use scenarios can have a big impact on site stability, and we guide customers through these decisions. Maintainability results from having a robust set of coding standards communicated and enforced from the beginning of the project. We have developed a set of coding standards and coding best practices over the past 10 years of developing ATG applications. Having developed and launched commerce applications for some of the largest ATG installations, we have valuable experience in each of these areas. All of our partners have been ATG employees (as Professional Services engineers) in the past. This experience gives us a track record of implementing and in some cases creating ATG's best practices. See the bodybuilding.com case study for a more details on an end-to-end ATG Commerce implementation.

Deployment and Performance Tuning
The ability to test the effect of site changes on conversion rate enables the business to continuously improve the site and drive revenue. By conducting A/B tests on a target segment of users, you can determine what content/price/promotion works best for that type of user. These discoveries can be put to use by creating ATG Targeters, Slots and/or Scenarios to define rules that deliver the most effective content to the appropriate audience. This requires a framework for conducting A/B tests, reporting on the results, and turning the outcome into personalization rules on the site. We have implemented this approach with many clients.
ATG Content Administration provides business users with the ability to safely modify and deploy data without help from developers or a release management process. This both empowers the business user to actively manage the site, and frees up developers to focus on building new functionality. ATG Content Administration makes this possible by providing a comprehensive data management interface, a workflow to define roles and responsibilities, a deployment framework to push data and personalization assets, and finally a mechanism to activate these changes on the site immediately. Properly configuring ATG Content Administration is not a simple task. Fortunately, we have successfully implemented and launched ATG Content Administration for the majority of our clients since 2003.
ATG Commerce Search and Search Merchandising provide powerful tools to help your customers quickly locate products on your site and for marketers to target products to customers in different segments by combining natural language search, faceted refinements by product attributes, and dynamic navigation across your product catalog. However, implementing and tuning both natural language and dynamic searching and navigation can be both challenging and frustrating without expert help. We have experience in implementing ATG Commerce Search including faceted searching and dynamic navigation beginning in ATG 7.1. We have helped customers achieve the natural language search results and performance they expect by tuning the complex ATG Search configurations and implementing custom caching of search results.
When it comes time to launch an Oracle ATG Web Commerce application, our engineers will guide you through the process. We have developed a set of best practices for deployment that includes guidance on application structure, build propagation through environments, and server management scripts. When you combine ATG Content Administration with Commerce Service Center and ATG Search, a framework for managing application configurations becomes absolutely critical due to the complexity involved. We will guide you through performance testing to ensure that your site can handle the expected load, with planning to handle 50% greater traffic than the previous high-water mark. This will involve tuning the application servers, database servers, web servers, as well as analyzing the application and tuning repository caches and page caches. See the American Apparel case study for a case where we did pre-launch deployment specialist work.
If your site is live but you have poor performance, stability issues, memory leaks, hanging threads, deadlocks, or logs full of errors, we can find the root causes, coordinate with ATG technical support to identify ATG bugs and obtain hotfixes, and provide simple and clear set of recommendations to get your site back on track.
We provide ATG training at your location customized to meet your needs. Based on your requirements, we can build a training program by drawing on our existing repository of over 100 hours of in-house developed training material as well as creating new material as needed. We have provided training on the ATG platform from the ground up for new developers unfamiliar even with Java to seasoned Java J2EE developers new to ATG to ATG developers that need to take their skills to the next level.
